Special Educational Needs
We have outlined a detailed plan of how we can meet the needs of children who have additional needs… This is called our local offer for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
In addition to this our School has in place policy to ensure that our provision meets and exceeds all of our statutory duties.
The headteacher and the school’s Inclusion Manager is leading on this work and if you wish to contribute to the review please contact him/her.
The Local Authority Local offer can be found by following this link – Solihull Local Offer
We have a duty of care to ensure that we, as a public authority;
- Promote disability equality within our community
- Increase the participation of learners with impairments and additional needs
- Improve the environment of the school so that learners can take advantage of all school and extended services
- Ensure that the delivery of all communication is accessible to our community
Please alert us to any needs your child/ren may have or any adjustments we may need to make in order that they be successfully included within our community and thus receive their entitlement and achieve their potential.
Additionally, your support in your child’s education is crucial to their progress. Please tell us if there are any adjustments we need to make to help you support your child; e.g letters in large font or Braille; providing a signer for school events, communicating by telephone, wheelchair access.
