Curriculum

A Curriculum for Happiness, Growth and Excellence

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”

― Aristotle

At Langley Primary School we consider our curriculum to comprise all of the planned provision that we create to promote learning, personal growth and development. Our curriculum offer includes not only the requirements of the National Curriculum, but also a full range of curricular and extra-curricular experiences that enrich the learning journeys of children at Langley Primary School. Our curriculum is closely intertwined with the ‘wider offer’ of what our children learn from the way they are treated and expected to treat others, our high expectations of behaviour and from the values that are exemplified.

This curriculum has been developed through consultation with the Langley Primary School community.

Values

Our school curriculum at Langley Primary School is underpinned by the values that we cherish and is the means by which the school achieves its objective of educating children in the knowledge, skills and understanding that they need in order to lead fulfilling lives.

Our curriculum and ethos are closely linked and support each other and underpin our vision for the children we educate at Langley Primary School.
